The Human Resource office is primarily responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and retaining employees as well as ensuring their safety and wellness.  Other responsibilities include:

  • Labor relations and Union negotiations
  • Workers’ Compensation
  • Labor compliance
  • Unemployment
  • Personnel records management

New option for retirees to pay health premiums

     Beginning April 1, 2021, retirees can now use the City’s on-line bill pay program , Xpress-pay, to make a payment towards their monthly health insurance premiums.

Depending on your method of payment, a processing fee will be charged.

     Debit / Credit     ..........     2.85% of amount paying + $ .28 (per transaction)

     eCheck              ..........     $ 2.50 per transaction
