City Manager

Responsibilities

The City Manager directs and supervises the activities of the City, manages municipal resources for efficient operation of public services, presents plans, reports and analysis to City Council and Mayor and maintains the financial affairs of the City in both long term and short term perspectives.

The City Council appoints the City Manager who is responsible for the implementation of the policies established by the Council and the general administration of City operations. In addition, the City Manager's Office is responsible for:

  • Labor relations
  • Insurance and risk management
  • Budgeting
  • Financial analysis
  • Grant management
  • Intermunicipal relations
  • FOIL (Freedom of Information) requests
