Members of the uniformed patrol division perform numerous functions including:
- Enforcement of laws and regulations to protect people and property
- Response to emergency and non-emergency calls for service
- Patrol of assigned areas to observe people and activities
- Conducting preliminary and follow-up Investigations
- Making arrests of people suspected of committing crimes
- Collection and securing of evidence from crime scenes
- Conducting traffic stops for vehicle and traffic law violations
- Performing community policing activities
