Tax Sale Certificate Auction Notice

Each year at the end of June, the City Comptroller is required to conduct a tax sale certificate auction to allow for the collection of delinquent property taxes. Once a tax sale certificate is auctioned, the owner of the property or any other interested party, such as a mortgage company, will have two years from the tax sale date to redeem their property by paying all back taxes and additional interest charges before losing title to the property. 

Tax sale certificates will be sold at public auction in the 3rd Floor City Council Chambers, City Hall, 245 Washington St., Watertown, NY.
