Under the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC, https://www.ferc.gov/) project license in place April 15, 1997, the Marble Street Hydroelectric Facility in the City of Watertown follows a Water Release Plan.
The Facility performs releases to facilitate whitewater boating from June 1st and September 30th. These occur on Tuesday and Thursday each week between 6:00 and 8:00 PM.
Schedule
The first five weeks of the 2026 season are scheduled as follows.These scheduled discharges are contingent upon river conditions. When possible, notice is given via the City website if river conditions are not conducive to a release.
